Job summary

Baptist Health System is seeking a Staff Chaplain to provide professional spiritual care to patients, families, and staff across our facilities. The role partners with interdisciplinary teams to deliver holistic, compassionate care within the hospital setting.

Qualified candidates will have completed theological education, ACPE/NACC CPE units, and possess pastoral experience. Bilingual Spanish/English is preferred; Master of Divinity is desirable.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: accredited college/university with graduate professional degree in theology.
• Four units of certified Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE, Inc. or NACC).
• Pastoral and/or chaplaincy experience of one year (minimum).
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred; two years of clinical pastoral experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional spiritual care to patients, families, and staff regardless of age, race, gender, ethnicity, or religious preference.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary health care colleagues to deliver holistic care.
• Complete established competencies within designated introductory period.
• Carry out other related duties as assigned.

Job Summary

PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Certification (BCC) by the Association of Professional Chaplains or an affiliate cognate group.
