Position Summary

Channel Account Manager, CDW (Chicago) role at Samsung Electronics America.

Role And Responsibilities
  • Account Management: Serve as primary account management contact for the CDW partnership.
  • Sales management: Grow revenue of the B2B display portfolio including digital signage, direct view LED, desktop monitors, Hotel TV, and display software and solutions.
  • Revenue Growth: Own and exceed revenue and profitability targets for the CDW account through sales planning, pipeline management, and forecast accuracy.
  • Partner Development: Build and nurture relationships with key CDW stakeholders across sales, leadership, product management, support, marketing, and other departments.
  • Joint Business Planning: Develop and execute annual business plans with CDW aligned to Samsung’s sales priorities, product launches, and marketing strategies.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Samsung product teams, marketing, operations, supply chain, and finance to provide tools, training, and programs to CDW.
  • Program Execution: Drive joint marketing campaigns, sales incentives, and enablement programs to increase Samsung’s share of wallet at CDW.
  • Field Engagement: Align Samsung and CDW field sales teams to drive co-selling and end-user engagement.
  • Partner Negotiations: Negotiate and manage partner agreements, pricing, and incentives to maximize mutual profitability.
  • Strategic Meetings: Lead or support joint business planning sessions, QBRs, and other strategic meetings for growth.
  • Analytics: Analyze sell-through, identify gaps, monitor market trends and competitor activities, and use data-driven insights to adjust strategy.
Skills And Qualifications
  • Channel experience with a focus on Display Products (Professional, Hospitality, Desktop, Direct View LED) and Display Software Solutions (Content Management, Remote Management).
  • Experience in sales operations, sell-through analytics, and executive-level partner engagement.
  • CRM experience (Salesforce.com preferred).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and creating/ delivering presentations.
  • Ability to interact at all levels within Samsung and the CDW organization.
  • Strong negotiation skills in potentially adversarial environments with customers, partners, leadership and vendors.
  • Ability to plan, prioritize multiple sales objectives and develop sales and business plans with clear metrics.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to work toward shared objectives.
  • Problem-solving with limited guidance and the ability to adapt to changing guidelines.
  • Ability to measure and report on the effectiveness of sales enablement investments.
  • Pipeline and project management in collaboration with End-user Sales/Tier 3, Product Management, Marketing, Support, and Service teams.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree with 7-9 years of B2B sales experience, preferably channel sales.
Physical/Travel Requirements
  • Presence at CDW Offices 60% of the time (Tuesday–Thursday or as needed) – Primary Location is Chicago, IL.
  • Ability to travel within the assigned geographic territory up to 50% of the time.
  • Conduct site visits and support events/shows at CDW offices locally or nationally as needed.
Remote Work

Remote role in Chicago area. The salary range varies by region and is determined by factors such as relevant skills and experience.
