Job summary

Tutor Perini Corporation in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Construction Change Order Engineer to manage owner-ordered changes, develop scope packages, and coordinate cost/schedule proposals on a major design-bid-build program.

You will review change documents, solicit quotes, analyze proposals for accuracy, and finalize cost proposals for client submission, reporting to the Project Manager or Senior Project Engineer.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of relevant work experience.
• Two+ years in construction with emphasis on estimating.
• Experience in fixed price, design-build, and/or self-perform estimating preferred.
• Experience with government projects a plus.
• Local to downtown Los Angeles, California preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review owner-ordered extra work documents for accuracy and develop questions related to assigned scope.
• Develop scope of work packages with narratives, checklists, and quantity take-off for change order pricing.
• Solicit subcontractor/vendor quotations and prepare change order document packages.
• Evaluate subcontractor/vendor proposals for accuracy in scope, quantities, schedule, inclusions and exclusions.
• Prepare subcontractors/vendors price analysis sheets and coordinate with operations on CSP cost/schedule proposals.
• Finalize cost proposals for client submission and assist with change order negotiations.
