Molex is seeking a Change Management Engineer to oversee ECO processes for optical transceiver products in a California-based facility. Qualifications

  • BS in Electrical, Optical, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • At least 5+ years in product/manufacturing/quality engineering or change management; optical transceivers desirable.
  • Working knowledge of ECO/ECN, PLM, and configuration control; experience with PLM and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

  • Own and drive the ECO process for optical transceiver products.
  • Coordinate cross-functional review and approval of design, firmware, component, process, and supplier changes.
  • Assess technical, quality, reliability, manufacturing, inventory, and customer impacts of proposed changes.
  • Manage product configurations, revisions, BOMs, and documentation within PLM and ERP systems.
  • Lead Change Review Board (CRB) activities and ensure timely implementation of approved changes.
  • Coordinate qualification and validation activities required to support product and process changes.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Procurement, and Manufacturing teams to implement change in the system
  • Ensure manufacturing documentation, test procedures, and quality plans are updated before production release.
  • Drive change management metrics, process improvements, and best practices.

Change Management Engineer - Optical Solutions

Molex is seeking a highly organized and technically proficient Change Management Engineer to manage engineering change control activities across our portfolio of optical transceiver products. This role is responsible for managing all changes related to the design and manufacture of an optical transceiver product throughout its product lifecycle, ensuring those changes are properly assessed, reviewed, approved, communicated, and implemented without disrupting quality, delivery, reliability, or customer commitments.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical knowledge of optical transceivers with excellent project management and cross-functional leadership skills. This role serves as the primary coordinator between engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, operations, and customer-facing teams to ensure effective execution of change management processes.

What You Will Do

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field.
  • At least 5+ years of experience in product engineering, manufacturing engineering, quality engineering, or change management. Experience with optical transceivers, optical components and optical modules is highly desirable.
  • Working knowledge of ECO/ECN processes, product lifecycle management (PLM), and configuration control.
  • Experience with PLM systems (Agile, Windchill, Teamcenter, Arena) and ERP systems (SAP preferred).
  • Strong project management, communication, and organizational skills.

For this role, we anticipate paying $150,000 - $240,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
