Job summary

Corning Inc. in the United States seeks a change-control and project-support professional to help write and implement change controls, open ESPs, and manage SMRs. You will coordinate equipment transfers, track actions, and maintain comprehensive project documentation with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree in a related technical field or 5+ years of experience as coordinator with HS diploma or GED.
  • At least 2 years of experience in admin or project support within an engineering, manufacturing, or technical environment.
  • Familiarity with change management processes, equipment validation, and risk assessments is a plus.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Write and implement change controls, track progress, and follow up on actions.
  • Open ESPs and plan SMRs, coordinating reviews and requirements for new equipment transfers.
  • Document and maintain project plans, reports, and tracking documents.
  • Provide regular updates on change control activities and escalate aging controls as needed.

As a leading developer, manufacturer, and global supplier of scientific laboratory products for 100 years, Corning’s Life Sciences segment collaborates with researchers seeking new approaches to increase efficiencies, reduce costs and compress timelines in the drug discovery process. Role Purpose

Support operations, engineering, and quality-related change management activities by writing and implementing change controls, tracking progress, and ensuring completion of associated action items. Open Engineering Study Proposals (ESPs) and plan Special Manufacturing Requests (SMRs), while coordinating the review and completion of requirements for new equipment transfers to manufacturing. Document and follow up on actions and decisions from project meetings, assist in authoring process and equipment documentation, and provide regular updates on change control activities, including escalation of aging change controls as needed. Serve on cross-functional teams to support plant objectives and meet project deadlines, while also helping coordinate project activities, resources, equipment, and information. Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, reports, and tracking documents.

Experiences/Education - Required

Education:

Associates degree in a related technical field (e.g., Life Sciences, Engineering, or equivalent experience) or 5 plus years of experince as coordinator with a High School Dipoloma or GED.

Required Experience:

  • At least 2 years plus of experience in administrative or project support within an engineering, manufacturing, or technical environment.
  • Familiarity with change management processes, equipment validation, and risk assessments is a plus.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing multiple priorities.

Required Skills:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to collect, track, and analyze data effectively.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to identify process improvement opportunities.

Desired Skills:

  • Experince working in a ISO 13485 Environment is a plus
  • Experience working with Electronic Batch Systems is a plus

This position does not support immigration sponsorship.

The range for this position is$58,236.00-$80,075.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
