Shadow Hawk Golf Club seeks an experienced Golf Course Superintendent to oversee the day-to-day maintenance and operations of a Rees Jones-designed championship course. Reporting to the Director of Agronomy, you will lead staff, manage water resources, and drive agronomic programs to maintain exceptional conditions year-round. The club recently completed a major 40-acre grassing upgrade, highlighting a commitment to excellence in playing surfaces.
Qualifications
5+ years as Golf Course Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent
Texas Pesticide Applicator License (or obtain within 90 days)
Warm season turf experience
Strong knowledge of irrigation systems, turfgrass management, and pest management
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Experience managing budgets, labor, and equipment maintenance programs
Responsibilities
Direct all golf course maintenance and daily operations
Oversee agronomic programs to deliver outstanding playing conditions
Manage irrigation systems, water usage, tracking and reporting
Recruit, train, supervise, evaluate and retain maintenance team members
Foster a positive, safety-focused work environment
Provide training for equipment operation and OSHA safety compliance
Ensure proper operation and maintenance of all equipment and machinery
Supervise fertilizer and pesticide applications with accurate records
