Qualifications

• Prior experience as a dental assistant or chairside assistant preferred.
• Dental assistant certification or accredited program is a plus.
• X-ray certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.
• Familiarity with four-handed dentistry and dental terminology.
• Strong interpersonal and patient-focused attitude.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinic.
• Knowledge of OSHA and infection control standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentist chairside during procedures such as fillings, extractions, and cleanings.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and operatory between patients.
• Take and develop dental X-rays as directed.
• Record treatment notes and update charts.
• Educate patients on post-procedure care and oral hygiene.
• Manage supply inventory and assist with ordering materials.
• Greet patients and create a calm experience from check-in to checkout.
