• Ph.D in a discipline represented in the department.
• Tenured Full Professor with relevant academic administrative experience.
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Proven teaching and scholarly activity; knowledge of accreditation requirements (SACSCOC).

Responsibilities

• Lead the department's mission and strategic planning.
• Supervise all department staff and conduct annual evaluations.
• Recruit, mentor, and advise students, staff, and faculty; mentor faculty candidates for positions.
• Administer faculty development programs; manage tenure and promotion processes.
• Schedule classes in collaboration with faculty and liaise with other university offices.
• Participate in program review and curricular development; ensure program quality.
• Manage departmental budget and facilities to support instructional and research activities.
• Engage in fundraising and donor relations with the Dean's office as needed.
