Qualifications

• Read safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures.
• Perform mathematical calculations including rates, ratios and percentages.
• Define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.
• Capable of supplying hand tools and working night shifts for long periods.
• Wear safety shoes and glasses in factory areas.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety procedures and meet attendance requirements.
• Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Use hand tools (hammer, saw, screwdrivers, wrenches, etc.).
• Adjust chain making machinery to maintain product quality.
• Observe machine operation to detect defects or malfunctions.
• Measure workpiece dimensions with calipers for accuracy.
• Feed wire/rod into pallets and manage tooling.
• Perform routine machine maintenance including lubrication.
• Replace worn or broken tooling as needed.
• Polish tooling with belt sander or grinders.
• Cut chain and wire with bolt cutters or hydraulic cutters.
• Straighten wire, rod, or bar coil ends as required.
• Inspect chain for defects and maintain SPC charts.
• Maintain housekeeping and clean machine areas.
• Place coils on turntable using an electric hoist.
