Job Summary
The Cased Hole Field Engineer plays a vital role in managing our crews, following and promoting our company values, and delivering top-notch service to our clients. This position entails multiple roles toward our field operations’ success and driving our visions related to safety and service quality principles.
Responsibilities
- Working knowledge on the operation of heavy equipment of various sizes and weights utilized in wireline operations
- Successfully achieve and obtain any required training qualifications associated with the position
- Take a role in the planning and preparation for assigned well site operations
- Must oversee all pre-job load-outs, checks, and equipment readiness before dispatch to a location
- May be required to run services including Cement Bond Logs, Gamma Ray Logs, Noise/Temp Logs, etc. based on current training and knowledge
- Provide efficient operation of perforation and setting services related to all completion activities
- Be a leader in enforcing and coaching of others in all government, company, and client policies and procedures
- Perform and enforce all operations with the highest regard to the safety of all personnel and equipment
- Help out in identifying and mentoring all employees in regards to any issues, how to address immediately and report to the appropriate departments on time
- Stay updated on any company changes and verify they are being implemented in the field
- Work an on-call schedule and dispatch to a job site when needed
- Promptly and accurately submit all required reports and data on time
- Maintain assigned equipment and facilities to the required standard
- Remain current on all third party and company-specific training programs
- Take the lead on the training and development of other field personnel
- Must give accurate feedback on overall employee and job performances

Essential Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Ensuring strong quality control principles of perforating, logging, and any additional operations associated with the assigned base
- Ability to obtain BATFE clearance for Employee Possessor of explosives
- Good background in troubleshooting of cased hole operations, tools, and equipment
- Ability to drive and operate the equipment under various working conditions
- Working knowledge of methods, materials, and tools used in wireline operations
- Background and experience in the identification of hazards and safety precautions common to heavy equipment operations and crew management
- Strong working knowledge of DOT and explosives safety regulations
- Working background in the mechanical abilities and knowledge of CH operations is a requirement
- Must be able to interact professionally with co-workers and clients
- Ability to perform manual work requiring periods of extensive physical exertion and potential exposure to weather conditions
- Knowledge on understanding and carry out written and oral instructions
- Must be able to communicate well both verbally and written
- Lead a team to meet all job schedules with dependability and consistency at all times
- Strong work ethic and ability to be a team player
- Ability to assist/coach in the operation of pressure control equipment and grease injection
- Take the lead on all pre and post job checks on all equipment and supplies
- A working background with training and mentoring in the operations of rigging-up and down on a job-site
- Expert abilities in the assembly, disassembly, maintenance, and operation of all equipment for the job
- Working knowledge on how to load, transport, assemble perforating and plug setting equipment
Necessary Physical Abilities To Perform Essential Functions
- Routinely lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
- Sit, speak or listen actively for extended periods of time
- Possess full use of both hands to feel or manipulate objects, tools, or controls
- Perform an extended reach with arms to manipulate objects, tools, or controls
- Walk short distances, sometimes over uneven terrain
- Perform manual work requiring periods of extensive physical exertion, sometimes under extreme weather conditions
Qualifications
- High School/GED, Undergraduate degree in Geology or Engineering preferred
- Must have at a minimum a class C w/Hazmat CDL license
- Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety manuals, operational instructions, and policies/procedures
- Must be able to take the lead in effectively communicating with peers, subordinates, and supervisors
- Possess a strong ability to solve problems in the practical field and interpret data presented in written, diagrammatic or schedule form
- Ability to apply advanced math skills to practical situations
