Qualifications

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Staff Accountantto assist their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $30.00 to $35.00 per hour.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, journal entries, and account reconciliations in support of monthly reporting requirements.
• Assist with month end and year end close activities while ensuring the accuracy and completeness of accounting data.
• Perform bank reconciliations, monitor cash activity, and research outstanding transactions or discrepancies.
• Support financial reporting, audit requests, and account analysis by preparing schedules and supporting documentation.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely processing of financial transactions and adherence to accounting procedures.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1-3+ years of accounting experience in a corporate, banking, or financial services environment.
• Prior experience performing bank reconciliations, cash management activities, and general ledger accounting functions.
• Working knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and account analysis procedures.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting or financial management systems.
