Job summary

Leaps & Bounds Pediatric Therapy Inc in Norco, CA is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (CF) to join a multidisciplinary outpatient team. You will provide 1:1 family-centered care, assess evaluations, develop treatment plans, and collaborate with physicians and school teams to support children across the lifespan.

The role emphasizes growth within a fast-paced clinic environment with opportunities for professional development and teamwork across Physical, Occupational, and Speech therapy

Qualifications

  • Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license (SLP).
  • Pediatric experience is a plus.
  • Clear Livescan is required.
  • TB test required.
  • CPR Healthcare Provider Card required.
  • Availability to work until 7pm on weekdays.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility and strong teamwork.
  • Desire to grow professionally.
  • Able to lift up to 50lbs and push/pull equipment over 100lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver family-centered care and develop treatment plans in consultation with physicians.
  • Assess evaluations and test results to guide therapy and goals.
  • Perform discharge planning with physicians, nurses, social workers and others.
  • Document patient care in charts and department records.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and clinic operations.
  • Maintain a safe, clean work environment and follow infection-control procedures.
  • Develop staff through training and in-service education.
  • Ensure compliance with laws and professional requirements; advise management on needed actions.
  • Collaborate with the IEP team within the comprehensive education plan.

We are a growing and fast-paced campus that offers Physical, Occupational, and Speech therapy services in a traditional clinical setting, as well as on our ranch, with the incorporation of the horse as part of a comprehensive evidence-based plan (hippotherapy.)

CF - SLP Job Duties include:

A CF - SLP delivers excellent family-centered patient care, that aims to support functional goals and needs of the patient and their family. SLPs perform assessments and interpretation of evaluations and test results; determines speech therapy treatment plans in consultation with physicians or by prescription, and carries out a treatment plan that supports functional improvement across the lifespan.

  • Provide quality care by assessing and interpreting evaluations and test results; determine speech therapy treatment plans in consultation with physicians or by prescription.
  • Help patient accomplish goals outlined in treatment plan and effective use of therapeutic devices and strategies.
  • Complete discharge planning by consulting with physicians, nurses, social workers, and other health care workers; contributing to patient care conferences.
  • Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records, according to the law.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and protect clinic operations by keeping information confidential, according to the law.
  • Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Develop speech therapy staff by providing information; developing and conducting in-service training programs.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Participate effectively as a member of the IEP team, but provide these services as part of a comprehensive education plan and in accordance with the written IEP, as needed.

Compensation Based On Experience: $83,200.00 - $85,280.00
