Job summary

The Brydon Group, a Brydon Portfolio Company in the Government Technology and Government Services space, is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to build the finance function from the ground up and shape the company’s financial strategy. You will lead the finance organization and partner with leadership to align financial priorities with growth initiatives.

Reporting to the CEO, the CFO will drive best practices, manage integrations from acquisitions, and enable scalable, data-driven decision

Qualifications

• 7-10+ years of finance leadership experience in a private equity backed company setting (B2G/government contracting experience preferred).
• Strong accounting background and controllership fundamentals.
• Experience with M&A transactions and post-merger integrations.
• Experience implementing new ERP systems (NetSuite, Sage) in PE-backed environments.
• Deep FP&A expertise, cash flow forecasting, and financial modeling.
• Experience leading compliance, risk management, and board/lender reporting.
• Proven ability to build scalable finance functions in PE-backed companies.
• Familiarity with automation and billing platforms; HR oversight experience.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead the finance function within a PE-backed, high-growth environment.
• Drive monthly close improvements, cash forecasting, and internal controls.
• Lead acquisitions integrations and centralize finance/HR processes.
• Develop proactive financial reporting and KPI tracking for value creation.
• Partner with leadership to shape pricing, budgeting, and capital allocation.
• Oversee HR, IT, and administration functions as part of broader operations.
