Job summary

The Jewish Federation of Cincinnati is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to lead the organization’s financial strategy and operations from Cincinnati, OH. The CFO will partner with the CEO, COO, and board to ensure fiscal sustainability and impact-driven investments.

This executive role requires deep nonprofit accounting expertise, strategic vision, and a track record of building strong financial teams and controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Minimum 15 years of progressive financial leadership experience.
• Nonprofit, foundation, endowment, or community organization experience preferred.
• CPA and/or MBA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all finance and accounting functions with strong financial stewardship.
• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and multi-year financial planning.
• Oversee treasury management, liquidity planning, and endowment oversight.
• Lead external audits and ensure regulatory and tax filings (Form 990).
• Provide strategic financial analysis to support leadership decisions.
