The ideal candidate brings deep tax expertise and hands-on experience in a family office setting, overseeing complex entities and wealth strategies with a high degree of autonomy and visibility in Boston, MA.

Qualifications

• Significant hands-on tax experience is required.
• Prior family office experience is required.
• Strong technical accounting foundation with experience overseeing complex financial structures.
• Extensive understanding of individual, partnership, trust, and entity-level taxation.
• Experience working with high-net-worth or ultra-high-net-worth individuals and complex ownership structures strongly preferred.
• CPA strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to work effectively with external tax, legal, investment, and estate planning professionals.
• Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on, with a willingness to personally dig into complex tax and accounting matters.
• Exceptional judgment, discretion, and ability to handle highly confidential financial information.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to serve as a trusted partner to family principals.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting activities including general ledger, close, reconciliations, and consolidated financial reporting.
• Manage cash flow, liquidity, investments, and capital requirements across multiple entities.
• Provide reporting and analysis related to investments, assets, expenses, and overall financial position.
• Support estate, trust, gifting, and wealth preservation strategies in partnership with outside advisors.
• Continuously improve financial processes, reporting, technology, and infrastructure within the family office.
