Job summary

Cherry Bekaert is expanding its CFO Advisory - Accounting Advisory practice and is seeking a Senior Manager to join our national team with hybrid flexibility (or remote for the right resource) and travel as needed for projects. You will mentor other team members, lead engagements, and drive growth within our Advisory practice in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in public accounting or industry experience, a strong understanding of US GAAP, and is skilled

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting with a strong understanding of US GAAP.
• 7+ years in a public accounting firm or industry environment performing audit, accounting or consulting services.
• Experience with technical accounting; understanding of accounting processes and internal controls.
• Interest in and experience with technical accounting matters.
• Able to navigate ambiguous and complex client assignments.
• CPA and/or MBA preferred.
• Proven experience scoping, presenting, and selling client engagements.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to adapt messaging to professionals at all levels and multi-task in a deadline-driven environment.

Posted As a result of continued growth within our CFO Advisory - Accounting Advisory practice, an opportunity has been created for a Senior Manager to join our national practice with hybrid flexibility (or possibly remote for the right resource) with travel for specific projects as needed. An ideal candidate for our firm displays expertise in accounting for both publicly-traded and privately-held companies, as well as a passion for superior client service, uncompromising integrity, and excellent project management abilities. Leadership skills are critical to success, as you will also be mentoring other team members and driving growth within our Advisory practice. We’re a fast-paced and dynamic environment so a strong sense of urgency will fit right in!

What you need for this role:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting with a strong understanding of US GAAP required
• 7+ years of experience within a public accounting firm or industry environment performing audit, accounting or consulting services required
• Sufficient experience with technical accounting. Understanding of accountings processes and internal controls.
• Interest in and experience with technical accounting matters
• Able to navigate ambiguous and complex client assignments
• Professional service network and interest in sales preferred.
• CPA and/or MBA preferred
• Proven experience scoping, presenting, and selling client engagements
