Job summary

TALENT SHIFT, LLC is seeking an Interim CFO for a project-based assignment, located on-site in Laytonsville, MD. You will provide strategic financial leadership during leadership transition, drive board-packaged reporting, and strengthen forecasting and operational alignment with executive leadership.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years of experience in finance, a Bachelor's in accounting/finance, and exposure to field-service or multi-location operations. This role requires U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with HVAC/home services or field-service operations preferred.
• Residency in continental U.S. and right to work in the U.S.

Overview

We are looking for an Interim CFO for our client on a project basis. This role is on-site in Laytonsville, MD.

Responsibilities

• Provide interim CFO leadership and maintain stability across all finance activities during leadership transition.
• Lead preparation of board packages, financial presentations, forecasts, performance commentary, and decision-support materials.
• Improve forecasting accuracy and strengthen forward-looking financial insights for management and sponsors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting, finance, or other related fields
• Prior experience working with HVAC, plumbing, home services, or other field-service organizations is highly preferred, including exposure to multi-location operations, service-driven revenue models, and the key financial and operational drivers of those businesses.
• 7+ years of relevant experience
• Qualified applicants must reside in the continental U.S.
