Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressively responsible experience with emerging and growth-market middle market companies delivering transformational change.
• 5+ years of CFO experience with emerging and growth-market middle market companies delivering transformational change.
• Bachelor’s Degree required; CPA or MBA preferred.
• Willingness to travel throughout your local market and nationally as needed.
• Strong consulting-style service orientation and client-facing skills.
• Experience leading and managing accounting department operations.
• Proven ability to develop and optimize finance functions to scale with growth.
• Interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills with IT, HR, and Ops oversight a plus.
• Proficiency in budgeting/forecasting and internal controls development.
• Experience maintaining and implementing effective internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute strategic initiatives with company executives.
• Lead finance transformation and implement improved reporting, forecasting, and controls for domestic and global teams.
• Oversee the accounting department structure and objectives.
• Manage accounting teams, including domestic and international staff.
• Create and present budgeting/forecasting with complex financial models.

• Deliver senior financial management services hands-on when needed.

We are seeking a CFO to join our growing Financial Operations practice.

As a CFO Consultant at Bridgepoint, you lead a team that provides transformational initiatives to drive operational excellence through interim and project-based finance, accounting, and technology engagements. CFO Consultants partner with our clients’ executive teams to professionalize their Finance & Accounting functions, ensuring efficient scalability for high-growth and future exits.

What You’ll Do:

• Work closely with company executives to define and execute on strategic initiatives
• Lead transformative projects within finance organizations and implement improved financial reporting, forecasting and controls for both domestic and global organizations
• Oversee the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department’s goals and objectives
• Manage the accounting team with a hands‑on approach, this could include both domestic and international teams
• Create and present budgeting/forecasting with complex/dynamic financial models
• Produce financial models, develop business plans, and prepare investor decks
• Provide critical senior financial management services with the ability to deliver those services at a hands‑on level
• Adapt to various client environments, and communicate effectively with all levels within the organization

Skills You’ll Need:

Required:

• 10+ years of progressively responsible experience with emerging and growth‑stage middle market companies where you have delivered transformational change
• 5+ years of CFO experience with emerging and growth‑stage middle market companies with proven delivery of transformational change
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Willingness to travel throughout your local market, while occasionally supporting national markets
• Strong desire for consulting-style work and delivering excellent customer service
• Experience leading and managing operations of an accounting department
• Solid track record of developing and optimizing the accounting and finance functions to support growth and scalability
• Interpersonal skills to develop effective interdepartmental relationships; IT, HR, Operations department oversight is a plus
• Proficient understanding of budgeting and forecasting with complex, dynamic financial models
• Experience maintaining and/or implementing effective internal controls

Preferred:

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or MBA
• Prior employment by a Big Four or other nationally recognized accounting firms
• Industry experience in emerging growth, manufacturing, technology, and SaaS companies
