Job summary

Creative Financial Staffing, LLC is seeking a hands-on Chief Financial Officer for a government-funded housing program. You will lead the finance function, ensure compliance, and shape financial strategy with direct exposure to the board and senior leadership.

This role requires deep government/fund accounting expertise, a collaborative leadership style, and the ability to build a strong finance team while guiding operations through growth and modernization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA preferred but not required.
• Government/Fund Accounting – Affordable Housing experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end close, year-end reporting, and government compliance.
• Provide leadership for a small accounting team (AR/AP & Financial Analyst).
• Manage banking, fund allocation, and reconciliations for stability.
• Deliver high-level financial insights and reports to the board and executives.
• Oversee journal entries, reconciliations, payroll reviews, and AP accuracy.
