The Ohio State University invites applications for an entry-level CFI - AFL position at the Knowlton Executive Terminal in Columbus, OH. The role focuses on flight and ground instruction in accordance with FAA parts 61 and 141, with formal classroom teaching and progress assessments.

Qualified candidates will have an FAA Commercial Pilot and Instructor certificates with instrument rating; preference for MEI and prior Part 141 experience.

Qualifications

• FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate and an Instructor's Certificate with an Instrument rating required.
• Airplane single engine land class and Instrument Rating strongly desired.
• One year experience as an active Flight Instructor strongly desired.
• Two years experience as CFI or 200 hours dual given strongly desired.
• Experience with Part 141 flight school strongly desired.
• MEI preferred; instructional activity in the previous 12 months preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide flight instruction per FAA guidelines 61 and 141 in classroom and flight labs.
• Evaluate student performance and progress; tests students for knowledge.
• Maintain accurate records and progress notes.
• Serve as lecturer for Academic ground courses; support aviation curriculum.
