WSP USA's Property & Buildings team is seeking a full-time CFD Analyst Intern – Summer 2027 to work from our New York, NY or Milwaukee, WI offices. This temporary position targets students enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program.

The 12-week program starts May 17, 2027 and includes mentorship, networking, and hands-on project work through the Developing Professionals Network. Ideal candidates are pursuing Mechanical Engineering or related fields, are 18+, have basic CFD interest,

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in an accredited Mechanical Engineering undergraduate or graduate program with an August 2027 or later graduation date.
• Must be 18 or older and authorized to work in the United States.
• Interest in CFD Analysis and related field with willingness to learn and grow.

Responsibilities

• Assist with CFD analysis tasks and basic engineering calculations.
• Support project research, field work, and preliminary design work.
• Help prepare final design plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Maintain project documentation and records for the team.
• Participate in training on assigned tasks and safety policies.
• Collaborate with engineers and mentors to contribute to project goals.

Our Property & Buildings team is seeking a full-time CFD Analyst Intern – Summer 2027 to work out of our New York, NY or Milwaukee, WI offices. This temporary position is seeking individuals currently enrolled in an Undergraduate or Graduate degree program.

Thisinternshipwill be part oftheWSP Summer Internship Program.As a summer intern, you have the opportunity to participate in our 12-week programscheduled to start on May17th, 2027.The individual start date of the internship may be flexible.

Your Impact

• Support a variety of engineering tasks with the goal to develop technical, social, and ethical skills.
• Learn basic principles of CFD Analysis.
• Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations and analysis.
• Support preparation of final design plans, special provisions, and cost estimates.
• Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation.
• Complete training on assigned tasks.
• Exercise responsible and ethical decision‑making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
• Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
• Please note that there is no relocation or housing assistance associated with this internship.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in an accredited Mechanical Engineering, or related, Undergraduate program with an anticipated graduation date of August 2027 or later.
• Must be 18 or older.
• Demonstrated interest in CFD Analysis, Mechanical Engineering, or related field, and have a strong desire to advance skills related to WSP’s work and projects.
• Competent interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to an engineering and non‑engineering audience.
• Capable of taking direction from leadership, mentors, and managers to executive projects.
• Basic proficiency with technical writing, office automation, software, spreadsheets, technology, and tools.
• Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
• Willingness and ability to travel to local project sites.
• Authorization to work in the United States at the start of the internship.

Preferred Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in an accredited Mechanical Engineering, or related, Master’s or PhD program with an anticipated graduation date of August 2027 or later.
• Experience using AutoCad, Revit, Load Calculation Software (Trace3D) and full Microsoft Office Suite.
• Prior relevant internship, extracurricular and leadership involvement on campus.

Compensation

Expected Salary (all locations): $23.03 - $32.22
