Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in welding engineering or welding technology, or 4 years maximum substitution.
• Associate's or higher degree in welding or related engineering/tech, 3 years maximum substitution.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions, write simple correspondence, and present information.

Responsibilities

• Test and interview welding operators according to AWS specifications (1G and 2G).
• Plan and execute post-hire training and testing for welding operators, including safety.
• Oversee trainees in a dedicated training area and determine proficiency levels.
• Determine weld recipes and write welding procedures for welded products.
• Plan job sequences from routers/blueprints and manage material, equipment, and fixtures.
• Fit and weld production or sample parts, and perform inspections with calipers, gauges, and measurement tools.
• Perform nondestructive testing on welded parts and maintain logs in the Vantage system.
