CWI Welding Inspector – Meridian, ID

GeoTek is seeking a CWI Welding Inspector to work in our Meridian, ID office. The role includes a competitive rate, vehicle reimbursement, and a full suite of benefits.

SUMMARY: Perform a variety of testing, project‑specific observations, and site assessment duties. Operate equipment, conduct tests/assessments, and report data. Work from drawings, specifications, diagrams, schematics, and specific verbal and written instructions. Use specific methods to observe site activities, take samples, and perform tests. Make minor adjustments and modifications as needed.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES

• Effectively communicate with the Supervisor and Dispatch to obtain daily work assignments.
• Prepare daily and data reports of testing and inspections.
• Competent in the performance of all tests and inspections assigned.
• Prepare and submit company documents related to the projects.
• Daily prepare and submit own timesheet for approval.
• Obtain proper field authorizations and ensure client signatures when required or when work beyond the original scope is requested.
• Advise Supervisor or Project Manager of any changes in work scope or potential budget overruns.
• Maintain positive business relationships with clients, contractors, subcontractors, material suppliers, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS

• ICC Structural Steel and Welding required; additional certifications are a plus, especially:
• AWS / CWI Certification
• ICC Structural Steel and Bolting
• ICC Structural Masonry
• ICC Reinforced Concrete
• ACI Field
• UT Certifications
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Ability to accomplish tasks under adverse weather and/or site conditions.
• May be required to work in confined spaces and climb and work at above‑average heights.
• Good or corrected vision and manual dexterity.

PAY RANGE

$30 - $35 USD
