Insight Global is seeking an experienced Welding Inspector to perform inspection of structural steel welding and bolted connections in accordance with project specifications and AWS standards. The role includes observing fabrication and erection activities, reviewing procedures and qualifications, coordinating non-destructive testing, and documenting all inspection findings for project teams and clients.

The role requires relevant welding inspection certifications and the ability to work

Qualificações

• 6+ months of experience inspecting welding and structural steel per AWS, D1.1 knowledge preferred.
• Must hold welding inspection certifications (CAWI or CWI).
• Professional certifications in ICC, NICET II, or AWS are required or preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Perform inspection of structural steel welding and bolted connections per project specs and AWS standards.
• Conduct visual welding inspections and verify weld quality, fit-up, and compliance.
• Coordinate non-destructive testing (UT, MT, PT, RT, VT) as required and document findings.

Job Description

• Perform inspection of structural steel welding and bolted connections in accordance with project specifications and AWS standards.
• Conduct visual welding inspections and verify weld quality, fit-up, and compliance.
• Observe fabrication and erection activities for structural steel projects.
• Review welding procedures, welder qualifications, and inspection documentation.
• Perform or coordinate non-destructive testing (UT, MT, PT, RT, VT) as required.
• Document inspection findings and prepare detailed reports for project teams and clients.
• Work closely with engineers, contractors, and fabricators to address deficiencies and corrective actions.
• Verify compliance with applicable construction codes, AWS standards, and project requirements.

Skills and Requirements

• 6+ months of experience doing welding inspectionso Must have structural experience (D1.1 code)
• CAWI or CWI certification
• ICC Certifications
• NICET Level II certifications
• AWS OR CAWI certifications
