Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Certified Welders for projects in or around Hampton, VA. This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is up to $32/hour based on experience and skill level.

Qualifications

  • Current 6G Welding Certification required.
  • TIG welding experience.
  • Experience welding stainless steel, copper, and aluminum.
  • Commercial mechanical or rooftop HVAC experience preferred.
  • Hospital retrofit experience preferred.
  • Rigging experience is a plus.
  • Must have tools of the trade.
  • Must be reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare metals for welding by cutting, grinding, cleaning, and fitting stainless steel, copper, and aluminum components.
  • Set up and operate TIG welding equipment.
  • Control gas flow rates and adjust welding parameters as needed.
  • Weld heavy-duty refrigerant lines, steam piping, chillers, and ventilation systems.
  • Produce clean, precise, and leak-free welds.
  • Repair faulty or damaged welds.
  • Cut out and replace cracked welds and leaking pressurized piping.
  • Assist with retrofitting commercial and hospital HVAC systems.
  • Follow all jobsite safety requirements and quality standards.

Job Scope:
