Responsibilities for Certified Welder
  • Read and understand assembly prints
  • Measuring and cutting materials to specifications Shape and modify metal objects
  • Welding materials using the correct materials to join the metals together
  • Inspect finished work to make sure that it falls within the tolerances marked on the blueprints to ensure structural integrity
  • Uses hand tools, files, electrodes, hammers, clamps, jigs
  • Shop organization and assembly line modifications
  • Keep work area clean and organized
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications for Certified Welder
  • 2-5 years' welding experience in assembly or manufacturing
  • Previous experience working in a specialty vehicle manufacturer, EV experience a plus.
  • Experience lean manufacturing and process improvement a plus
  • Knowledge of metallurgy
  • Knowledge of various welding techniques including TIG, MIG, arc, etc.
  • Good attendance and good communication skills
  • Previous experience in a start-up environment a plus
  • Pass a weld test
