Animal Outpatient Specialty Network (AOSN) is seeking a Certified Veterinary Technician for The Pet Dentist, its veterinary outpatient specialty division. AOSN is a privately-owned US-based company serving a nationwide client base with specialists across multiple disciplines.

This full-time role offers a sign-on bonus after completing a 90-day probation. The ideal candidate is energetic, people-oriented, and committed to high-quality patient care, with the ability to assist in front desk duties

Qualifications

• Experience or training in a veterinary facility.
• Friendly, outgoing, “people oriented.”
• Excellent communication skills.
• Capable of cross-training for front office duties; telephone and computer skills necessary.
• Team player willing to learn new techniques and adapt to change.

The Pet Dentist, part of AOSN, is seeking a Certified Veterinary Technician to join our team. We are offering a sign-on bonus for this position, payable after successful completion of our 90-day probationary period.

Requirements

• Previous experience or training / education in a veterinary facility required
• Must be friendly, outgoing, “people oriented”
• Excellent communication skills
• Must be capable of being cross-trained for front office receptionist duties, telephone and computer skills are necessary
• Must be a team player willing to learn new techniques, treatments, and accept change

Medical Related Skills

• Phlebotomy
• IV Catheter placement
• Preparing and restraining animals during procedures
• Anesthetic induction
• Anesthetic monitoring
• Assisting in surgery
• Ability to use a stethoscope
• Advising pet owners on proper care, etc.

Duties (including But Not Limited To)

• Demonstrate excellent relations with client / pets in the waiting area and exam rooms
• Exceed the client’s expectations of service
• Compassionate nursing care is the top priority for all patients
• Housekeeping / maintenance
• Ability to perform cursory exam
• Clearly communicate your discussion with the owner to a doctor
• Record keeping
• Fill prescriptions and dispense medications as prescribed by the doctor, etc.

Education And Physical Requirements

• College or college-equivalent education as required in becoming a Certified Veterinary Technician
• Dependable attendance is required
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds
• Must be willing to work long hours under pressure conditions
• The ability to walk, bend, stand, squat, or reach constantly during a minimum 8-hour day.
