Job summary

VCA Lakes Region Veterinary Hospital in Laconia, NH is seeking a compassionate Certified Veterinary Technician to join a full-service team. This hands-on role covers patient care, anesthesia, surgery assistance, diagnostics, and client education in a modern hospital built on excellence.

Qualifications

• CVT with NH licensure or eligible; strong hands-on clinical skills.
• Experience in anesthesia and surgery assistance preferred.
• Ability to perform radiography and basic in-house lab work.

Responsibilities

• Performs exams, gathers patient histories, and records vitals.
• Administers vaccines, meds, and treatments with accurate dosing.
• Places IV catheters, venipuncture, and manages fluids.
• Induces and monitors anesthesia for procedures.
• Assists in surgery (spay/neuter and routine ops) and prepares instruments.
• Performs radiography and basic diagnostic imaging; in-house labs.
• Supports dental care, client education, and at-home care instructions.
• Maintains medical records and communicates with the team.
