Job description

We’re a busy, fun-loving 5-doctor general practice hospital with a great support team, and we’re looking for a Registered/Certified Veterinary Technician (RVT/CVT) to join our crew.

We see the usual assortment of GP patients, puppies who think the exam room is a playground, cats who have filed formal complaints about being here, dentals, surgeries, chronic disease management, preventative care, and the occasional “my pet ate WHAT?!” emergency.

We work hard, laugh often, help each other out, and believe that veterinary medicine is significantly better when you enjoy the people you work with.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a member of our technician team, you’ll get to use your skills doing:

  • Patient intake, history gathering and physical assessments
  • Obtaining and monitoring vitals
  • Venipuncture, catheter placement and blood collection
  • IV fluid administration and fluid therapy
  • Anesthesia induction, monitoring and recovery
  • Surgical preparation, assistance and patient monitoring
  • Dental assisting, including dental radiographs and cleanings
  • Radiology and diagnostic imaging
  • In-house laboratory testing and sample preparation
  • Pharmacy calculations, medication preparation and dispensing
  • Assisting doctors with appointments and procedures
  • Client education and communication
  • Fear‑free/low‑stress handling and patient advocacy
  • Maintaining accurate medical records
  • Patient care and hospitalized patient monitoring
  • Maintaining equipment and keeping treatment areas functional
  • Helping train and support other team members
  • And, of course, the highly technical skill of finding the one pen that actually works

We’re a GP, so there’s plenty of variety. If you enjoy being hands‑on, solving problems, learning new things and working as part of a team, you’ll fit right in.

Who We’re Looking For

You’re an RVT/CVT who:

  • Is registered/certified and in good standing
  • Has solid technical skills and takes pride in your work
  • Can confidently handle both routine appointments and the occasional curveball
  • Communicates well with doctors, teammates and clients
  • Is compassionate toward both patients and their humans
  • Knows that teamwork means jumping in when someone else needs a hand
  • Is comfortable giving and receiving feedback
  • Wants to continue learning and growing

Experience is wonderful. Personality, reliability and a willingness to learn are equally important to us.

What’s In It For You?

Depending on the position and eligibility, we offer:

  • Competitive wages
  • Comprehensive benefits package
  • Paid vacation
  • Paid sick/personal days
  • Continuing education support and opportunities
  • Professional development and training
  • Employee pet care discounts
  • Uniform/scrub allowance or support
  • Licensing/registration support
  • A supportive team environment
  • A healthy mix of hard work, teamwork and laughter
  • And people who understand that sometimes you need to step away for five minutes and stare into the middle distance after a particularly chaotic appointment
Why Us?

We’re not looking for a robot who can simply move from room to room checking boxes.

We want a technician.

Someone who notices when a patient isn't quite right. Someone who advocates for their patients. Someone who can anticipate what the doctor needs before being asked. Someone who is willing to help a teammate who is drowning, celebrate a successful surgery, comfort a nervous client and laugh at the ridiculousness of veterinary medicine along the way.

We have 5 doctors and a strong support team, which means you won't be thrown onto an island and expected to figure everything out yourself.

We believe good medicine happens when people have the tools, support and trust to do their jobs well.

Sound Like Your Kind of Place?

If you’re an CVT looking for a hospital where your skills are valued, your voice is heard, and your coworkers will probably send you a picture of a ridiculous patient five minutes after you clock out…

We’d love to meet you.
