Chase Farm Veterinary Hospital, a Rarebreed Veterinary Partners clinic in North Dartmouth, MA, seeks a compassionate Veterinary Technician. Pay ranges from $17.00 to $21.00 per hour, with weekend shifts included.

You will assist veterinarians in medical, surgical, and dental procedures, manage exam rooms and records, and support client communication. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and CVT/LVT certification, with at least 2 years of veterinary hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to pet patients and their loved ones.
• Keep accurate medical records in accordance with hospital policy.
• Prepare and maintain the exam rooms and treatment areas.
• Prepare estimates for procedures and discuss financial commitments with clients.
• Explain necessary follow-up and home care instructions.
• Stock clinic treatment area and exam rooms, and inform inventory manager when supplies need to be ordered.
• Assist the Veterinarian in office visits, medical, surgical, and dental procedures (blood draws, anesthesia, surgery prep, monitoring).
• Care for all surgical materials and keep the operating room stocked.
• Run lab work and take digital radiographs.

Veterinary Technician

Chase Farm Veterinary Hospital in North Dartmouth, MA

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 an hour (based on experience)

Weekend shifts are part of the opening we have and typically are every other Saturday with a rotating 1–2-hour Sunday shift approximately every 1-2 months. Our staff schedules are usually 5 days/week with the occasional 4-day work week, and these shifts include morning, afternoon, and evening shifts.

What You’ll Do

• Provide compassionate care to pet patients and their loved ones
• Keep accurate medical records in accordance with hospital policy
• Prepare and maintain the exam rooms and treatment areas
• Prepare estimates for procedures and discusses financial commitments with clients
• Explain necessary follow‑up and home care instructions
• Stock clinic treatment area and exam rooms, and inform inventory manager when supplies need to be ordered
• Assist the Veterinarian in office visits, medical, surgical, and dental procedures (be comfortable with blood draws; prepare patients for surgery; administer anesthesia; monitor patients during surgery and recovery; administer fluids and treatments)
• Care for all surgical materials and keep the operating room properly stocked and prepared for surgery
• Run lab work and take digital radiographs

Requirements
