Petco is seeking a Veterinary Technician to provide quality care to patients at Vetco Total Care hospitals in Greenfield, Wisconsin. The purpose of this Veterinarian Technician position involves providing excellent veterinary care to Vetco Total Care full‑service hospital patients and phenomenal customer care to their owners. Veterinary Technicians represent the mission and values to all clients and partners, set the tone for the technical and customer support team, and foster cohesion and motivation within the hospital partners.
The Veterinary Technician takes direct supervision from veterinarians and the Hospital Office Manager or Hospital Leader on Duty. Overall direction is from the Hospital Office Manager.
The Veterinary Technician ensures day‑to‑day hospital operations are efficient and provide an optimal experience for patients and clients.
This position contributes to the growth of a productive practice while maintaining high‑quality standards of care. By fostering a cohesive, well‑trained, and motivated technical team, the role supports employee retention, patient well‑being, and customer satisfaction.
This position has no immediate supervisory duties.
The majority of job duties are conducted in the Vetco Total Care full‑service hospital. The position requires bending, kneeling, lifting (up to 30 pounds where necessary), and standing for long periods. Much of the time is spent in direct contact with clients and their pets.
Regular communication with clients, veterinary specialists, and companies that provide products and/or services used by the practice.
