Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Certified Respiratory Therapist for a day shift travel position in Tucson, AZ. The assignment runs 13 weeks with a 36-hour workweek, typically 3×12-hour days.

Responsibilities include ICU, ED, and general floor coverage, along with procedures and ventilator management. BLS/ACLS required; NBRC certified; license as applicable. Housing stipends and comprehensive benefits provided.

Qualifications

• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in respiratory therapy.
• ICU, general floor, and ED experience required.
• Registered or certified by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).
• License required if applicable.
• No certifications expiring within first 30 days of start.
• No employment gaps of 90+ days or more within the past 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Follow protocols approved by medical staff and department policy to deliver timely diagnostic and therapeutic services.
• Assist physicians with invasive and non-invasive procedures.
• Deliver medicated aerosols via medical compressed gas.
• Maintain airways, manage ventilators, perform intubations, and conduct blood gas analysis.
