Job summary

Purcell Tire & Service Centers is seeking a tire technician to perform tire mounting, dismounting, balancing, and related maintenance on passenger and light truck vehicles. The role emphasizes safety, quality service, and customer interaction.

The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma, 1–2 years of experience, and CTS certification or vendor training. A valid driver’s license is not required for this position, and a strong safety mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-2 years of job-specific experience preferred.
• CTS certification from Tire Industry Association or equivalent vendor training required.

Responsibilities

• Identify and inflate tires correctly for size and ply.
• Balance wheels using balancing machines to determine counterweights.
• Dismount wheels with lug wrenches and hand/power tools.
• Mount wheels onto vehicles and reassemble tires onto wheels.
• Replace valve stems and seal punctures as needed.
• Perform lube, oil, filter, and tire services for passenger and light truck vehicles.
• Maintain a clean shop and ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Maintain positive relationships with customers and protect company assets.
