Job summary

Baptist Health System - San Antonio TX in Brownsville, Texas is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for a full-time role. The position is 40 hours per week with an 8-hour shift and pays $22–$31 per hour.

Employment is Staff, with a potential sign-on bonus. Responsibilities include maintaining aseptic technique, setting up instruments, scrubbing and passing devices, and supporting the OR team throughout procedures.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited surgical technology program.
• BLS certification is required.
• Surgical Technologist certification is required.
• 1 year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist during surgical procedures as scrub technician.
• Maintain aseptic technique and prepare equipment and sterile supplies.
• Scrub and pass instruments; pull cases as needed; break down cases at end of procedure.
• Set up operating room for day and following day’s schedule; be available for call as required.
