Job summary

HCA Florida Brandon Hospital is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for our Labor and Delivery team. You will prepare the surgical suite, support the team during obstetric procedures, and ensure compassionate care for mothers and newborns.

You will maintain a sterile field, assist with patient positioning, and work closely with the Labor and Delivery team on all deliveries, both surgical and nonsurgical.

Qualifications

  • CST certification required or eligible.
  • Basic Life Support/CPR must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare the surgical suite and organize instruments, equipment, and supplies.
  • Assist with patient positioning, prepping, and draping while ensuring comfort and safety.
  • Provide instruments and support to the surgical team during obstetric procedures.
  • Maintain sterile field, perform counts, ensure equipment functions properly.
  • Collaborate with Labor and Delivery team on all deliveries, both surgical and nonsurgical.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Preparing the surgical suite and organizing instruments, equipment, and supplies to support safe, efficient procedures
  • Assisting with patient positioning, prepping, and draping while maintaining comfort, privacy, and safety
  • Providing instruments, equipment, and hands-on support to the surgical team during obstetric procedures
  • Maintaining a sterile field, performing counts, and ensuring instruments and equipment function properly
  • Working closely with the Labor and Delivery team on all deliveries both surgical and nonsurgical.
What qualifications you will need:
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • High School Graduate / GED
  • (TS-C) Tech in Surgery - Certified, or (CST) Certified Surgical Technologist
  • 1 years experience Required Years of Experience
