Qualifications

• Graduate of a Surgical Technology or Practical Nursing program required.
• 0-2 years of operating room surgical technician experience required.
• Certification as CST - Certified Surgical Technologist required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the operating room and ensures instruments are available.
• Maintains a sterile field throughout the surgical procedure.
• Anticipates the needs of the surgeon during surgeries.
• Handles surgical instruments according to policies.
• Documents counts in collaboration with circulating nurse.
• Assists with patient positioning and transfer.
• Cleans and returns equipment to storage.
