Chippenham Hospital is hiring a Certified Surgical Technologist to support the operating room team in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. You will prepare the surgical suite, position patients, hand instruments, and maintain aseptic technique under the guidance of the circulating RN.

You will help ensure patient safety, proper instrument counts, and efficient turnover between procedures, while adhering to hospital policies and patient privacy standards.

Formación

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Vocational training program in Surgical Technology required.
• Certified in Surgical Technology required.

Responsabilidades

• Organizes the operating suite with instruments, supplies, and equipment for the day.
• Reviews daily cases to ensure adequate stocking and proper functioning of equipment.
• Prepares sterile instrument tables and uses physician preference cards for setup.
• Transports patients to and from the surgical suite as needed.
• Assists in positioning, prepping, and draping patients for procedures.
• Performs scrub/gown/glove processes for self and team.
• Passes instruments, supplies, and medications to the surgeon during procedures.
• Maintains asepsis to prevent infection and promotes patient safety.
• Completes sponge, sharp, and instrument counts and reports discrepancies.

Educación
