Endeavor Health in Skokie, IL is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for the Main Operating Room to assist surgeons, prep instruments, and maintain a sterile environment during procedures.

Full-time schedule from 7:00am to 3:30pm with on-call rotation. Requires graduation from an approved surgical technology program and CPR certification; prior experience preferred. Sign-on bonuses available and competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved surgical technology program.
• Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
• Previous experience in surgery or on-the-job experience.

Responsabilités

Hourly Pay Range: $27.14 - $40.71 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position: Certified Surgical Technologist - Main Operating Room

Location: Skokie, IL

Full time/Part time: Full Time, 40 hours/week

Hours: 7:00am-3:30pm, on call rotation required

What you will do

• Identifies and obtains the required surgical instrumentation, equipment and supplies required for surgical procedures based on physicians request and the needs of patient; exchanges drug trays as needed under the direction of licensed medical staff. Inspects, properly cares for and handles surgical instrumentation and equipment appropriately.
• Performs scrub responsibilities according to physician's preference and hospital policies and procedures. Anticipates, and is attentive to, the surgeon's needs for instruments, ligatures, sponges, irrigation, etc. during the surgical procedure.
• Demonstrates the skills necessary to provide a safe environment and communicate effectively with all age groups of patients - pediatric through geriatric.

What you will need

• Graduate of an approved surgical technology program
• Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association
• Previous experience in surgery or on-the-job experience
• Certification in surgical technology preferred
