Job summary

SCA Health is hiring a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) in Merritt Island, Florida. The CST will scrub during procedures and help prepare rooms and instruments for surgery.

Requirements include completion of an Accredited Surgical Technologist program, CST certification (or in progress), and a current BLS credential within 90 days. Experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program.
• Prior CST experience preferred.
• Current CST certification preferred.
• BLS certification within 90 days of employment or current.

Responsibilities

• Function as a scrub person during operative procedures.
• Clean and prepare surgical instruments for processing and transport to decontamination areas.
• Assist with post-procedure cleaning of the room and preparation for subsequent patients.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Requirements:

• High SchoolGraduateorequivalent.
• Graduate of a recognized and accreditedSurgicalTechnologistProgram.
• Prior Experience as aSurgical Technologistpreferred.
• Current Surgical Technologist certificationpreferred.
• Successful completion of BLS Course within 90 days of employment or documentation of current BLS certification.
