Job summary

Community Health Network in Indianapolis is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for the Operating Room. The CST will be responsible for scrubbing on various surgical cases, assisting surgeons, and maintaining sterile techniques.

Applicants should have an Associate’s degree in Surgical Technology and preferably 1 year of Operating Room experience. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential. Certification as a Surgical Technologist must be obtained within 6 months of hire.

• Must obtain Certification as a Surgical Technologist within 6 months of hire.

Job description

The Operating Room CST will be responsible for scrubbing on a variety of surgical cases. You will assist the surgeons and anticipate needs. The Certified Surgical Technologist will possess knowledge of sterile and aseptic technique.

Exceptional Skills and Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Surgical Technology from a CAAHEP accredited program of Surgical Technology preferred
• 1 year of Operating Room experience preferred
• Certified Surgical Technologist preferred or required within 6 months of hire
• Strong written, verbal and nonverbal interpersonal and professional communication skill are required
• Demonstrates ability to prioritize, organize and multi-task with a high degree of responsibility, responsiveness
• Takes direction well but also self directed and motivated
