Role Description

The Certified Surgical Technologist is a part-time, on-site role based in Tysons Corner, VA. This team member will prepare operating rooms, ensure all instruments and supplies are sterile and available, and assist the surgical team before, during, and after procedures. Daily responsibilities include setting up surgical equipment, maintaining aseptic technique, anticipating surgeon and provider needs during cosmetic surgeries, and handling instruments and specimens safely. The role also involves collaborating with nursing and clinical staff, supporting patient safety and comfort, and adhering to all practice policies, infection-control standards, and regulatory requirements. The technologist will help maintain accurate documentation of surgical procedures and contribute to a respectful, patient-focused environment.

Qualifications
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Surgical Technology, including sterile processing, instrument handling, and maintenance of aseptic technique.
  • Hands-on experience in an Operating Room setting, with knowledge of OR protocols, workflows, and safety standards.
  • Skill in preparing surgical fields, passing instruments, and anticipating procedural steps.
  • Foundational understanding of Medicine and Surgery relevant to plastic and cosmetic procedures.
  • Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST or equivalent) and compliance with all applicable licensure requirements.
  • Previous experience in plastic, cosmetic, or outpatient surgery preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and ability to remain focused in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills, with a commitment to patient-centered care and professional conduct.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, lift surgical equipment as needed, and follow infection control and safety protocols consistently.
