Job summary

TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist to prepare the OR, assist during surgeries, and collaborate with a skilled team. You will work with cutting-edge equipment, ensure patient safety, and contribute to a supportive, high-performing environment.

Qualifications include NBSTSA CST certification, 1–2 years of general surgery experience preferred, and BLS within 30 days of start date.

Qualifications

• Certified as a Surgical Technologist through NBSTSA – REQUIRED.
• 1–2 years of general surgery experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain the surgical suite with instruments and supplies.
• Assist with patient transport, positioning, prep, and draping.
• Scrub in and support the surgical team with instruments and specimens.
• Monitor patients and equipment during procedures and respond to concerns.
• Maintain sterile technique and efficient room turnover.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Setting up and maintaining the surgical suite with instruments, supplies, and advanced equipment to ensure safe, seamless procedures
• Assisting with patient transport, positioning, prepping, and draping while prioritizing comfort, privacy, and safety
• Scrubbing in and partnering with the surgical team by providing instruments, handling specimens, and anticipating the team’s needs
• Monitoring patients and surgical equipment throughout procedures, responding promptly and effectively to any concerns
• Upholding sterile technique, completing room turnover efficiently, and supporting a high-performing, collaborative team environment

What qualifications you will need:

TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center is a 159-bed facility providing quality healthcare to Sumner and surrounding counties for more than 45 years. The facility is the first Accredited Chest Pain Center in Sumner County, a Certified Primary Stroke Center and a designated Level III Trauma Center.
