Job summary

El Paso Day Surgery is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join the outpatient surgery team. The tech will scrub for procedures, maintain a sterile field, prepare supplies and equipment, and support the center's quality initiatives. Position requires teamwork and strong communication with staff, physicians, and patients.

Weekday work only with no holidays, weekends, or on-call; some early mornings or late evenings may be required based on the surgical schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and completion of a Surgical Technician Program or equivalent
• Certification as required by state and/or center
• Experience in an ambulatory surgical center preferred
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation
• Ability to adapt to changing patient conditions
• Teamwork and communication to collaborate with staff, engage with patients, and coordinate with physicians

Welcome to El Paso Day Surgery

We have 5 OR rooms and 1 Treatment room. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in ENT, General, OB/GYN, Gynecology & Infertility, Ophthalmology, Ortho, Pain, Plastic, Urology.

Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some early mornings and later evenings may be required; schedule subject to change based on surgical schedule and flow of the day.

Surgical Technologist/Scrub Tech at El Paso Day Surgery

The Surgical Technologist scrubs for surgical procedures and demonstrates competence while functioning as a member of the surgical team. Maintains a sterile field during surgical procedures. Prepares supplies, instruments, and equipment related to these procedures. Supports the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the Surgery Center. Supports and participates in quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED; completion of a Surgical Technician Program and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Certification as required by state and/or center
• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center is strongly preferred
• Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
• Must excel in teamwork and possess strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with staff, engage with patients, and coordinate with physicians
