Role Description

This is a full-time or part-time, on-site Certified Surgical Technologist role based in Edinburg, TX. The Certified Surgical Technologist will prepare operating rooms for plastic surgery procedures, ensuring all instruments, supplies, and equipment are sterile, available, and functioning properly. Responsibilities include assisting the surgeon and nursing team during procedures, maintaining sterile technique, handling instruments and specimens, suturing, and anticipating surgical needs throughout the case. The role also involves organizing and restocking surgical supplies, supporting pre-operative setup and post-operative room turnover, and collaborating closely with the clinical team to uphold safety, efficiency, and exceptional patient care. The technologist will be expected to align with the center’s performance-driven culture and core values, contributing to continuous improvement and high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Surgical Technology, including sterile technique, instrumentation, and OR workflows.


• Experience working in the Operating Room environment, with strong knowledge of safety protocols and equipment handling.


• Skills in Surgical Assisting during plastic surgery and related procedures, including instrument passing, wound closures/suturing, and field management.


• Foundational knowledge of Medicine and Surgery relevant to perioperative care and plastic surgery best practices.


• Current certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent credential from an accredited program.


• Prior experience in plastic surgery, cosmetic surgery, or related surgical specialties preferred.


• Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and ability to maintain focus in a fast-paced, high-standard environment.


• Effective communication and teamwork skills, with a commitment to accountability and professional growth.


• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and move equipment safely, and adhere to all infection control policies.
