Job summary

The Surgery Center of Chevy Chase is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join our ambulatory surgery team. The role requires scrubbing for procedures, maintaining a sterile field, preparing supplies and equipment, and supporting overall patient care and safety.

Qualified candidates should have a Surgical Technician Program completion or equivalent, state/center certification, and strong teamwork and communication skills. Weekdays only—no holidays, weekends, nights or on-call shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; completion of Surgical Technician Program or equivalent.
• Certification as required by state and/or center.
• Experience in ambulatory surgical center preferred.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and patient management.
• Aseptic techniques and their implementation.
• Adaptability to changing patient conditions.
• Excellent teamwork and communication with staff and physicians.

Surgical Technologist at Surgery Center of Chevy Chase

The Surgical Technologist scrubs for surgical procedures and demonstrates competence while functioning as a member of the surgical team. Maintains a sterile field during surgical procedures. Prepares supplies, instruments, and equipment related to these procedures. Supports the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the Surgery Center. Supports and participates in quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED; completion of a Surgical Technician Program and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Certification as required by state and/or center
• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center is strongly preferred
• Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
• Must excel in teamwork and possess strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with staff, engage with patients, and coordinate with physicians

Pay Range- Min: $28.96 to Max: $41.99 (Wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individuals qualifications and experience.)
