Job summary

Rush University Medical Center is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join the Surgical Services team in Illinois. The role involves assisting the surgeon, anesthesiologist and RN throughout the entire preoperative experience and serving as the primary scrub person during operations.

• BLS required
• Special Skills: Able to function in emergency situations; ability to take call (30-minute response time) required.

Surgical Technologist, Surgical Services Position Summary: Functions as the member of the surgical team who assists the surgeon, anesthesiologist/anesthetist and RN in delivering direct patient care during the entire preoperative experience. Acts as the primary scrub person during the operative procedure.

Primary Customers: Patients and their families, physicians and their office staff and all other hospital team members.
