Job summary

OSU Medical Center in Tulsa, OK is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the Operating Room team under the supervision of the Physician and Registered Nurse.

You will be responsible for selecting, assembling, testing and sterile handling of instruments and supplies, serving as primary scrub during procedures, and upholding established policies to promote patient outcomes.

This role requires vocational/technical education and BLS certification, with 0-1 year of experience preferred.

Qualifications

The Surgical Technologist provides patient care under the direct supervision of the Physician and the Registered Nurse. The Surgical Technologist demonstrates responsibility and accountibility in selecting, assembling, testing and operating equipment and instruments in accordance with policies and procedures. The Surgical Technologist is respsonible and accountable in performing as a primary scrub person handling the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure while applying principles of sterile technique. The Surgical Technologist contributes to expected patient outcomes in accordance with policies, procedures, established standards, and administrative policies.
