Job summary

Gundersen Health System in Whitehall, WI seeks a Casual Surgical Tech to join the team on an on-call basis. You will scrub for procedures, assist the physician, and support circulating duties as directed, preparing instruments and supplies for the role.

The role requires a CST certification within 2 years of hire and current infant-adult BLS for healthcare providers. Starting pay is $27.32 per hour, with potential increases for related experience.

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification within 2 years of hire date.
• Infant-Adult Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers current.

What you will do:

• Work casual/on-call - pick up shifts as the department needs
• Assists physician as scrub person according to prescribed standards.
• Assist RN in performing circulating duties as directed.
• Performs primarily in the scrub role preparing, selecting maintaining equipment, instruments, and supplies.

What you need:

• Graduate from an accredited surgical tech program Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification within 2 years of hire date. This is not needed until 2 years AFTER start date.
• Current Infant-Adult Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers (with hands on learning) from one of the following programs; American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
