Job summary

Methodist Celina Medical Center in Celina, TX seeks a Surgical Technician I to join a fast-paced operating room team. You will understand the procedure, ensure instruments and supplies are ready, and assist the surgeon during the case.

This role requires CST certification, a high school diploma, and at least one year of surgical tech experience; military-trained or AD in Surgical Technology are a plus. You’ll help prep and turnover ORs, collaborating to deliver excellent patient care.

Qualifications

• CST certification is required.
• 1 year or more experience as a Surgical Technologist.
• Graduate of Surgical Technologist program or AD in Surgical Technology preferred (military training acceptable).

Your Job: In this highly technical, fast-paced, and rewarding position, you'll collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide the very best care for patients. The Surgical Technician I understands the procedure being performed and assures that all equipment, instrumentation, and supplies are available for the case. Articulates the needs of the surgeon. Handles the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure. Participates in setting up and turning over the operating room for cases.

Your Job Requirements

• High School Diploma and/or GED equivalent
• Graduate of Surgical Technologist program, military trained, or AD in Surgical Technology preferred
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required
• 1 year or more prior experience and must have worked as a Surgical Technologist prior to 09/01/2009 (if not a graduate of a Surgical Technology Program)

Methodist Celina Medical Center is located on a 40+ acre campus just off of Dallas Parkway, and will serve as the community’s first full-service hospital, serving Celina and surrounding communities.
