Qualified candidates have CST and BLS, with 0–2 years of OR experience. Expect collaborative teamwork and strict adherence to infection control standards in a busy perioperative setting.

Qualifications

• Technical School or Associate Degree in Surgical Technology is required.
• 0–2 years of OR surgical technician experience preferred.
• CST and BLS certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating room with instruments and supplies per procedure.
• Maintain sterile field and aseptic technique throughout surgery.
• Pass instruments to surgeon and support team as needed.
• Inspect and sterilize instruments per policy.
• Document sponge, needle, and instrument counts for patient safety.
• Assist with patient positioning and draping under RN direction.
• Restock and prepare rooms for subsequent cases to ensure OR efficiency.
• Adhere to infection prevention and hospital policies.
